A talk on the importance of CSR by BBOWT

Published on: 20/12/2017

Delivering social responsibility objectives with your local Wildlife Trust, a great motivator inside and outside your organisation. Join the Milton Park team and BBOWT to learn more about the importance of CSR for your business.

When: Thursday 22nd February

Where: Innovation Centre, 99 Park Drive

Time: 8.00 – 10.00am

Tom Beckett, Director of External Affairs, BBOWT (Berkshire, Buckinghamshire and Oxfordshire Wildlife Trust).

Tom ran his own successful business that he sold in his twenties, has a BSc in Zoology, an MSc in Environmental Science, and has since used his skills to advise on sustainability policy for businesses and governments.  He directed the National Green Party during the 2014 European and 2015 General Elections, and now oversees all fundraising, communication and advocacy work at BBOWT.

Tom will talk about the role charities can play in the development of business.  In the age of information and product awareness, businesses are under increasing pressure to demonstrate their commitment to society and environment, with this soon coming up the supply chain.  Particularly millennials and generation Z are placing new demands that need to be responded to. Tom will provide the growing evidence of this being the case and how a local wildlife trust can be a great partner for telling the positive story of what your company is doing to achieve a positive, sustainable future.
