Last week saw Didcot First host their annual Business & Community Awards (BACAs) at the Cornerstone Art’s Centre. The awards are designed to support local businesses and showcase the great companies Didcot is home to.
There are many categories such as Best Volunteer Development, Raising Awareness, Inspirational Youth Group, Best New Business, Best Community Engagement work, the list goes on
Milton Park works with many local businesses and are proud that many of them were either shortlisted or even won a BACA! Special mentions go to:
Courtney Hughes for her work with her very own charity – Charity Secret Santa. A charity giving Christmas boxes to vulnerable in Didcot and beyond. Courtney was the proud winner of both an individual Outstanding Achievement Award and also the Best Fundraising Campaign. Soll Leisure, the people behind Milton Park’s onsite gym – The Park Club, won an award for the Best Apprenticeship/Trainee Scheme.
The Wandering Feast – much loved by most of the Park community were finalists in the Best Established Business category. This is a great achievement for the Feast as it is only a few years old. Keep supporting the Feast by visiting them every Thursday! Mountain Mania, the guys behind our Monthly Bike Dr were also finalists in this category. The Bike Dr is held at the Park Centre on the first Wednesday of every month.
Go Green Taxis – the cars behind many visitor journeys to and from Didcot station won a BACA in the Community Engagement category.
A massive congratulations to all of the finalists and winners!
