Go green at Milton Park: three Urban Garden plots left

Published on: 18/03/2015

Do you fancy growing your own fruit, vegetables, flowers or shrubs for your company? If so, you could sign up to one of the three raised bed plots left out of the 20 available at Milton Park’s Urban Garden.

Based at 182 Park Drive, behind the hoarding and close to the Boot Camp and outdoor gym area, people are already busy planting and growing at the Urban Garden.

Each plot measures 5 x 2 metres and there is also a communal shed with shared equipment readily available for the Urban Garden users.

Dawn Crawford, Facilities Manager at Milton Park said: “Each year, our Urban Garden plots are very popular and allocated on a first come first served basis. This year we have just three plots available for people to sign up to and create their own space to grow anything from potatoes and herbs to sunflowers.

“It’s a lovely way to get out in the fresh air and away from the office whilst growing great produce and flowers, and also networking with other people from businesses across the Park and sharing advice and tips. Frosts, our landscaping team, is also on hand to offer tips and advice.”

If people are interested in taking up a plot, please contact Dawn Crawford on dawn.crawford@miltonpark.com or 01235 824116.
