Part-Time Facilities Services Office Supervisor

Package: £14,300 pa  / £11 phr

Hours: 5 working hours per day - 25 hours per week. Monday - Friday 9am - 2:30pm ideally, but can be flexible. 5 1/2 hour shift with 30 minute break.

Location: Milton Park, Abingdon

The Job:

  • To fulfil all scheduled and periodic tasks in the completion of the Office facilities duties
  • Be courteous and professional at all time in upholding the expected client operational standards
  • To facilitate with the handling & distribution of incoming & outgoing client post, parcels & courier deliveries in line with operational deadlines
  • To maintain the office horticulture supply of indoor planting and special requests in conjunction with the Sodexo / client supplier.
  • To maintain the office catering stock and special requests in conjunction with the Sodexo / client supplier.
  • To manage the office waste & recycling in conjunction with the Sodexo / client supplier / landlord and complete statutory and periodic reports on waste in
  • To maintain printer toner levels for the office machines, replacing cartridges and paper when necessary.
  • To rectify where possible any identified printer issues and report faults according to escalation process.
  • To maintain stationery stock levels for the office placing orders where necessary in accordance with the clients supplier
  • To manage and co-ordinate with both Sodexo & client suppliers for deliveries into and out from the office.
  • To fulfil storage and retrieval requests for client equipment and associated items across the office locations
    and liaise with delivery agents and contractors as necessary.
  • To ensure that Company, Client and Statutory regulations regarding Hygiene, Safety, Fire and Security are complied with at all times
  • To fulfil / assist with all reasonable ad-hoc client requests associated with Sodexo’s contracted services


Person Specification: 

  • Experience of working within an office environment
  • Experience of working a multi task role
  • Experience of working effectively on own initiative and without direct supervision
  • Confident capability in MS Word, Excel and PPT
  • Excellent communication / customer service skills in written and oral English
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Strong prioritisation and organisation skills
  • Ability to handle confidential information including confidential disposal
  • Strong record keeping skills
  • Presentable and confident in welcoming visitors and guests into the office
  • Ability to multitask  



  • To be able to focus on satisfying the needs of the client / office employees; seeking improvement in customer satisfaction and anticipating their future needs.
  • To understand the financial and commercial drivers of Sodexo's business and how it related to the service contract with the client and to Sodexo's profitability. 
  • To promote & protect the Sodexo brand by demonstrating a broad understanding of our business and inspiring others about the value Sodexo can add to clients.
  • Proficient in MS Word, Excel and with a good command of verbal and written English
  • Capable of prioritising task in accordance with the understanding of the business requisite
  • To look for new and better ways of doing things refreshing current activities and processes and continually looking for new ways to provide innovative solutions to improve service and quality.
