Our Milton Park facility provides fast, flexible early phase development, including paediatric formulation development. Milton Park is an early phase development facility with strong links to both larger scale development and clinical labelling, packaging, and distribution sites in the Thermo Fisher network.
The range of services at Thermo Fisher for drug substances and drug products is wider than that of any other CDMO and we offer end-to-end capabilities and expertise to take your discovery from pre-clinical and clinical development, through scale-up, all the way to commercial supply across more than 40 oral solid, sterile and softgel dosage forms.
The purpose of the role is to manage all stocks within our analytical laboratories in Milton Park, working with analytical management to ensure the laboratory is in an audit ready state and all systems are in place to ensure testing can be completed.
Comply with GMP requirements and company rules, policies and procedures
Responsible for maintaining supplies of consumables and chemicals in the laboratory
Negotiating with suppliers to ensure the best prices are obtained
Responsible for cleaning laboratory glassware and ensuring supplies are available in the laboratories
Liaise with couriers and other personnel to ensure laboratory coats and supplies are collected and returned from our Swindon facility
Responsible for the regular removal and transfer of solvent waste and clinical waste from the laboratories
Liaise with external suppliers for regular removal of solvent and clinical waste
Liaise with PDS staff and communicate effectively at all levels
Operate to current regulatory and statutory requirements
EHS responsibilities (understanding emergency procedures, safe working systems, reporting of accidents, rule breaches, etc.)
Other duties as assigned
College, Technical School Diploma, or A’ level(s) in Science
1-3 years related experience working in a lab
