Purpose of the job
Oxitec is a pioneer in controlling insects that spread disease and damage crops. Through world class science it is tackling the major global challenges of keeping people healthy and increasing food production and it is doing so in a way that is sustainable, environmentally friendly and cost effective.
This role is designed to provide support the Finance Manager in delivery both monthly and annual reporting requirements plus any other adhoc tasks.

Responsible for posting month end journals and preparing most balance sheet reconciliations
Responsible for payroll inputs and reconciliation
Posting all bank transactions and preparing reconciliations
Preparing monthly group consolidation and FP&A pack
Prepare quarterly VAT returns
Preparing weekly supplier payment runs
Preparing employee expenses payment runs
Assisting the Finance Manager with annual audit
Supporting grant reporting
Assisting with weekly cashflow
Review and posting of two company credit cards
Maintaining user accounts in Concur
Maintaining user access & chart of accounts in QAD
Any adhoc tasks
Key Qualifications and Skills
Finalist/Recently Qualified CIMA/ACCA
Excellent knowledge of MS Excel
Must be diligent and organised
Have a creative approach to problem solving and the development of solutions
Ability to work both independently and part of a cross functional team
Ability to build trust quickly
Driven and proactive approach
Thrives and is resilient in an environment of change and ambiguity
Ability to balance competing priorities from multiple stakeholders
Previous management accounts experience
A track record of working in a small team
Experience of working in a global business
Adaptability and flexibility
Analytical skills and problem solving
