Chef/Manager – Street Food Concept Milton Park

We’re recruiting for a Chef/Manager for our street-food style Mission Burrito at Milton Park.
Based right in the centre of the park, we’re looking for someone with a real passion for food to not only serve our established menu from a shipping container style outlet, but to work with us in menu development and grow the catering arm of the business.
We’re looking for someone who acts like an owner, and in return we’ll give you the autonomy to run your business not just to Mission Burrito standards, but to share ideas and concepts as if it were yours.
It’s a different environment to our other restaurants – street food experience would be a big advantage. Our customer base is largely from the offices and lunchtimes are BUSY, so early mornings and bags of energy are a must! We can talk about salary and bonuses based on experience and how we see the role together, but although our favourites are on the menu, this isn’t your typical Mission Burrito setup so we’re flexible for the right person to fit our team.

Preparing the food ready for service
Showcasing and developing the menu
Ordering and control of ingredients and costs
Responsible for staff recruitment, training and development
Time management and scheduling
Driving the Mission Burrito ethos of great customer service
Compliance with all company and legal processes – food safety, H&S, HR compliance etc
Cash control and profit growth
CATERING AND EVENTS
Planning, staffing and operations of outside event catering, including transporting equipment, setting up and breaking down and towing trailer.
Brand promotion through external catering events, both local and closer to other Mission Burrito restaurants.
HOURS AND PLACE OF WORK
Based at Milton Park(Head Office) container kitchen and servery.
Largely 7am-3pm Monday-Friday with weekend events as needed.
