Greywolf Therapeutics named Biotech of the Year
Greywolf Therapeutics has been named Biotech of the Year at the Pharma Industry Awards UK 2025 for its novel antigen modulation technology and clinical progress.
The company’s technology alters how cells appear to the immune system, enabling potential treatments for cancers, chronic autoimmune conditions such as axial spondyloarthritis and infectious diseases.
NeoVac announces Jan Hendrik Egberts as CEO
NeoVac has announced the appointment of Dr Jan Hendrik Egberts as Chief Executive Officer to guide the next phase of growth for the company.
Over the past four years, NeoVac has transformed from a scientific concept into a clinically validated platform poised for scale. Dr Egberts brings a successful record in biotech company leadership, including previous roles as CEO, board chair and investor across both private and publicly listed healthcare companies.
Egberts said: “As one of the earliest investors in the company, I have a long-held belief in NeoVac’s vision for transforming RNA delivery through NeoVac’s proprietary LNP platform featuring clinically validated improved safety. Larry Ellison Backs Wild Bioscience in £45M round
Agricultural technology startup Wild Bioscience has announced a £45 million in Series A funding led by the Ellison Institute of Technology (EIT), the research organisation founded by Larry Ellison, chairman and CTO of Oracle.
Dr Ross Hendron, Co-Founder and CEO of Wild Bio, says: “Advancing agriculture has limitless potential to help people and the planet. So to achieve meaningful, scalable impact, we need the right investors who are truly aligned with that big vision. Women’s Prize Trust announces Hachette UK partnership to support writer development
The Women’s Prize Trust has announced a partnership with the leading publishing group Hachette. The partnership with the Milton Park occupier includes a mentoring scheme for aspiring non-fiction writers.
The mentorship scheme seeks applications from unpublished women without agents writing non-fiction. Entries are particularly encouraged from experts in science (such as health, psychology and technology) and culture (such as politics and current affairs).
Katie Espiner, CEO of Adult Trade Divisions at Hachette commented “As soon as the Women’s Prize team shared their brilliant idea for the Horizons mentoring scheme, we knew we wanted to collaborate. There is an urgent need to empower women who are experts in their fields, to support them to believe that they can and should write about their ideas, experience and to remove barriers for their voices to be heard.”
Whittard of Chelsea secures new funding to drive international growth
Park occupier and speciality tea, coffee and hot chocolate company Whittard of Chelsea, has announced a bumper funding deal worth £12m with digital bank OakNorth “to support its continued growth and expansion”.
Nathan Smith, CEO of Whittard of Chelsea, said: “We are excited to take this next step with OakNorth. Throughout the process to date, they have been commercially-minded, responsive and fully aligned with our long-term vision.”
RM announces Sky Business Wholesale partnership to power digital learning
RM Technology has announced a partnership with Sky Business Wholesale to deliver high-speed connectivity solutions to schools across the UK. The partnership with the telecommunications provider includes a fully resilient, fibre-first network.
The collaboration strengthens RM Technology’s existing broadband capabilities, leveraging Sky’s presence in over 2,800 exchanges to deliver robust connectivity nationwide. The partnership aims to bridge the digital divide by ensuring schools have the infrastructure needed to support digital learning tools such as RM SafetyNet, RM Unify, Microsoft Teams, and Google Classroom.
