Highlights of our Christmas events at Milton Park
Thank you to all those who took part in our wreath making and visited our Christmas Market. Between the two events Milton Park raised over £3,000 for Didcot Powerhouse Fund, thank you so much to all those who donated.
Christmas Market welcomes 1,300 people
More than 1,300 visitors joined us for our Christmas Market last week. Shoppers picked up unique gifts from our local makers and enjoyed carol singing music from Stephen Freeman Primary School and Sutton Courtenay CofE Primary School.
There was also an opportunity to meet the new occupiers moving into Signal Yard for a first look at what’s ahead in 2026.
Alongside the festive stalls, there were helpful drop-ins and wellbeing treats, including on-site flu vaccinations from Apollo Pharmacy, mini massages from Flex Physio and a chance to meet the team from Damira Dental Studios.
A huge thank you to food traders – 1885 Burgers, Chor Muang Thai, Planted Plates and Tap Social Movement – and to all our wonderful stallholders: Braeside Bees, Bringing You the Blooms, Crafty Cooper & Co, Fly A Kite Clothing, Foodylicious, It’s Knot Unusual, Lords Fragrance House, Maddison Ball Creative, MS Therapy, Oakes Hot Sauce, Peruke Games, Pucci Gang, Rasa Jewellery, The Map Cabinet and Whittards of Chelsea.
Thank you to everyone who joined us and helped make the Christmas Market such a warm, lively celebration across Milton Park.
240 Christmas wreaths decorated
We’ve wrapped up another brilliant round of Christmas wreath making and the creativity didn’t disappoint.
Every wreath was bursting with festive colour. It was lovely to see so many people from across the Park come together and get into the Christmas spirit.
A huge thank you to the Nurture Landscapes team for running the sessions once again and to everyone who donated so generously to The Didcot Powerhouse Fund.
The Park is looking festive and bright ✨
From sparkling lights and Christmas trees to this year’s colourful yarn bombing by All Things Woolly, Milton Park has taken on a warm seasonal feel.
Yarn bombing
Milton Park has been yarn bombed by the brilliant community group All Things Woolly. They’ve wrapped parts of Bee House in colourful knitted and crocheted creations, bringing warmth and winter cheer!
Yarn bombing usually happens in secret so we’re delighted to be able to credit the talented makers behind it. All Things Woolly meets every Thursday at the Mill Arts Centre in Banbury, welcoming anyone who enjoys knitting, crocheting or wants to learn.
Thank you to everyone involved for bringing a touch of creativity and colour to the Park. We hope the decorations add a little extra cheer to everyone working on or visiting the Park this season.
Official Christmas lights switch on
Thank you to everyone who joined us for this year’s Christmas lights switch on at Milton Park.
The children from the Bright Horizons Nursery at Milton Park joined us as our special guests. They enjoyed warm milk, cookies and some festive colouring before heading outside to push the big red button and light up the Park.
A lovely way to start the season.
