Campbell’s Column
Welcome to the April edition of the Milton Wonder newsletter and my inaugural column.
This month’s highlights:
- A warm welcome to Oodle Car Finance, one of several recent arrivals at Bee House just in time to celebrate the building’s third birthday.
- We celebrated Earth Day with a thought-provoking keynote from environmentalist Chris Hines MBE, whose insights challenged us all to think deeper about our environmental impact.
- Evotec’s Simon Canter and Veronica Reynolds Launched Milton Park’s new polystyrene compactor, an idea born from our Greener Workplace Forum. You can read more about Simon’s story in our Park People feature.
- On World Quantum Day, we highlighted the cutting-edge work of TreQ, whose quantum computing systems could revolutionise drug discovery. Its machines are also, quite literally, one of the coolest things in the universe!
- Thank you to all our occupiers who have donated to Didcot Powerhouse Fund. We were proud to share that £100,000 in grants will soon be distributed to local charities
- An update on Signal Yard, with the installation of glulam timber starting to bring our new amenity hub to life and more on future occupiers.
What’s next?
Looking ahead to May, there’s lots to get involved in. Events range from Bike2Work and the Spring Biodiversity Walk, to more opportunities for collaboration and connection through our Fika networking sessions.
So, keep an eye out for this monthly feature – and, if there’s something you think should be featured in May, we’d love to hear from you.
Best wishes,
Philip Campbell
