Out with the blue and in with the brew!
In collaboration with occupier Whittard of Chelsea and the Samaritans, Milton Park will be hosting a pop café in Bee House to mark Blue Monday. Everyone is welcome!
What is Blue Monday?
Blue Monday is the name given to a day in January (typically the third Monday of the month) which is said to be the most depressing day of the year. The term was first used as part of a marketing campaign to help a travel company sell holidays, with the first Blue Monday named in 2005.
Factors that apparently contribute to feelings of sadness and depression in January include the weather, debt, time since Christmas, lack of motivation and failed New Year’s resolutions.
Why Brew Monday?
As Samaritans remind us, there’s no such thing as ‘Blue Monday’. Feeling low isn’t just something that happens on Mondays or a random day in January. There’s always time for a cuppa and a catch-up!
Please join us for a cuppa (on us) and a chat. No need to sign up, just turn up. We look forward to welcoming you.
