Join us for our Pride Networking event, bringing together the LGBTQIA+ community working at Milton Park. This is an opportunity to connect, share experiences and celebrate diversity in our professional environment.
The event will begin with two inspiring talks by LGBTQIA+ community members from Milton Park, sharing their stories and insights. These short talks aim to foster a sense of belonging and provide a platform for voices within our community.
After the talks, you will have the opportunity to network; meet like-minded individuals and expand your professional network within the LGBTQIA+ community at Milton Park.
Whether you’re an employee, entrepreneur or simply part of the Milton Park ecosystem, this event is open to all who identify as LGBTQIA+ or allies. Come and be a part of this inclusive gathering, celebrating our diverse identities and fostering a supportive community.
This event is organised by a new committee made up of individuals from various companies on the Park, dedicated to fostering greater interactions and supporting LGBTQIA+ people working here and sponsored by Milton Park.
Speakers
Brennan Wiffen (He/Him) – Evotec
Bren is a Research Assistant in In Vitro Biology, and is a member of the Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Council at Evotec. Having grown up disabled, queer and from a working-class background, he understands the importance of community outreach and visibility of marginalised groups within the scientific and corporate world. Currently he works within STEM Outreach programmes to provide work experience and activities for students in the local area, as well as campaigning for improved access to healthcare for those seeking medical transition.
Poppy Roworth (She/Her) – Arctoris
Poppy is COO at Arctoris and is spearheading the LGBTQIA+ cross-company network on Milton Park. Having always identified as an ally to the community, she realised she was actually a member of it only a few years ago after reading an article about asexuality and realising that she had a lot in common with the contributors! She is passionate about DEI and creating communities where people can feel safe, network and share DEI best practices.
