HFT Coming of Christmas Concert

Published on: 25/10/2016

Join the charity HFT on the 8th December in the historic Dorchester Abbey for their much loved Christmas Concert. The beautiful Abbey will be bathed in the glow of over 1,000 tea lights, as festive music is performed by the internationally renowned Magdalen College Choir alongside some wonderful readings. This year Hft are delighted to announce that their readers will be the actor Martin Clunes, OBE and actress Caroline Catz*. Martin is a Patron of Hft and is best known for portraying Martin Ellingham in the ITV drama series Doc Martin and Gary Strang in Men Behaving Badly. Caroline is best known for her role as Louisa Glasson in Doc Martin, starring alongside Martin Clunes and for her role as Detective Inspector Helen Morton in DCI Banks.

Tickets are £23 and will include a programme and festive mulled wine and mince pies will be available to enjoy in the Abbey after the concert. They are available to purchase here http://www.hft.org.uk/comingofchristmas  or by telephone 0117 906 1767.

All proceeds raised from this concert will go towards supporting Hft’s ‘Bytes Size Learning Project’ at their service in Milton Heights, Oxfordshire. This course provides individually designed training, in ‘bite size’ modules, in catering and hospitality; enabling people with learning disabilities to develop skills and qualifications so they can find supported employment within the catering sector.

When: Thursday, 8 December 2016 from 19:30 to 21:30 (GMT)

Where: Dorchester Abbey – High Street, Wallingford, OX10 7HH

*work commitments permitting.
