Have your say on Oxfordshire's Local Transport and Connectivity Plan
Published on 26 February 2021
Changes to the way people travel around Oxfordshire, such as using more buses instead of cars, are being opened up for public opinion.
Oxfordshire County Council has started to draft a new Local Transport and Connectivity Plan, which will set out its priorities for how to support people getting around.
The council has plans to decarbonise the transport system by the year 2050, and as part of that is likely to make moves to support more cycling, walking and public transport use over private cars.
Its draft plans also include reducing the need to travel, so more shops would be available a short walk away, and boosting broadband connectivity, especially in rural areas, so people can more easily work from home.
A consultation about the county council's plans is now available online at consultations.oxfordshire.gov.uk.
