UK's life sciences membership organisation to stay at Milton Park

Published on 08 September 2020

Anyone in the life sciences' industry will know OBN, the not-for-profit membership organisation supporting and bringing together the UK’s life sciences companies, corporate partners and investors through seminars, events, networking, awards and more.

You may not know that they have been based at Milton Park for more than 10 years. With their lease up for renewal, we were thrilled that they have decided to stay here at 5F Park Square.

John Harris, CEO, OBN said: "OBN is delighted to be remaining on Milton Park and continuing our long, mutually beneficial association. As the UK’s leading Life Sciences Membership organisation, it makes perfect strategic sense for OBN to be located at the heart of the vibrant Oxfordshire Life Sciences community.

"OBN has continued to strongly support its members throughout the Covid pandemic and the challenges it has presented. Now that some semblance of normality is returning, we are looking forward to recommencing face to face interaction, the first opportunity being our ‘Roadmap to Growth’ BioForward Conference, being held at The King’s Centre, Oxford on 5th October 2020. This will be delivered in a ‘hybrid’ format – a physical conference with digital content, and the first such event to be held in the UK.

"Many companies are now facing up to the financial pain caused as a result of the pandemic and OBN will continue to help steer them through these troubled times; for those life science companies that are looking for seed/very early stage funding, our new initiative, OBN Ventures, has been specifically designed to help."

Philip Campbell, MEPC commercial director, Milton Park added: "The work OBN and its team do to bring together this fast moving industry, not just in the UK but linking around the world, is impressive. We are proud that they continue to be part of our community to in turn continue to support the world of life sciences. We wish them continued success and in particular look forward to their 12th Awards evening event in November."
