£270 raised from our MacMillan Coffee Morning

Published on: 01/10/2014

As part of the annual World’s Biggest Coffee Morning, Milton Park’s Innovation Centre hosted a MacMillan Coffee Morning on Friday 26 September 2014.

It was our 11th year of contributing to the campaign and raised nearly £270. It was brilliantly organised by the Innovation Centre staff who opened the doors to ample amounts of tea, coffee and cake for all to enjoy.

There were fundraising games such as a bake off, quizzes, guessing games and many more.

Jo Szegota, Head of Small Business at Milton Park said: “The coffee morning was a great success and a chance to network whilst having a bit of fun to help raise money for MacMillan Cancer Support. Thank you to the Innovation Centre team for organising it so brilliantly, and to everyone who came along and supported.”

Congratulations go to the following games’ winners:

How many 100’s and 1000’s are on the cake? – Mine McPherson (Psioxus)

Bake off – From Migrate UK, Angelique & Jonathan’s son Olivier for making the magnificent hedgehog & Madga from Olive for the delicious almond cupcakes

Spot the double shot – Irene Dawe (S-cubed)

How many lollies on the lollipop tree? – Stuart Kale (there were 417 lollies in total!)

Quiz – The Business Learning Foundation and Taylorollinson

Thank you to all that came along!
