Future Blends’ charity walk

Published on: 18/05/2015

Future Blends, a private company focusing on the development of technology solutions in advanced biomass-based energy and based at 122 Olympic Avenue, will be raising some money through its annual charity walk.

On 21 June 2015, around 20 of its employees will take part in its 2015 charity walk which will involve walking twice around the Blenheim Palace park and gardens which is a total of 10 miles.

The walk is to raise sponsorship for The Sunrise Cancer and Haematology Unit at Wycombe Hospital.

Last year, the staff walked to raise funds for the Cancer Care and Haematology Fund at Stoke Mandeville Hospital, where their friend and colleague Yangdong Qian had undergone treatment through 2013 and 2014.

The great news is that Yangdong has been able to return to work with Future Blends on a part time basis. However he continues to be strongly supported by The Sunrise Cancer and Haematology Unit at Wycombe Hospital, a registered charity. Yangdong has requested that this year Future Blends raises funds for the great work the unit undertakes supporting cancer patients in the area.

If anyone feels like they would like to support this great initiative, a JustGiving page has been set up where you can securely and easily donate: https://www.justgiving.com/FutureBlends2/
