MEPC has announced that Milton Park-based company Ipsen, has donated £500 to Macmillan Cancer Support following its success at the annual Car Free Day at the park.
The event, which took place in September 2017, was organised by developer and manager MEPC. Ipsen, which had the highest percentage of staff participating - 15% - was awarded the cheque to donate to its charity of choice. The donation came through MEPC as part of the prize.
A spokesperson for Ipsen said: “At Ipsen we want to go even further this year and demonstrate our commitment to reducing the environmental impact of car travel.”
As an additional part of the prize, pop up kitchen Wandering Feast paid a visit to Ipsen staff treating them to a variety of delicious food.
The annual Car Free Day is part of a wider green travel initiative from MEPC which has already seen a 14% increase in shared journeys and a 5% increase in cycling. The next Car Free Day is expected to take place in September 2018 – more details to follow.
