Isansys named as a company which could help save the NHS millions

Published on: 02/10/2018

Isansys Lifecare's Patient Status Engine wireless patient monitoring platform could help deliver millions of pounds worth of savings to the NHS.

An independent review highlights how the NHS and other public sector organisations have saved £30 million and achieved wider economic and social benefits, through just 8 SBRI Healthcare projects.

Commissioned by the NHS, the PA Consulting report - called 'SBRI Healthcare: a review of the benefits of the Small Business Research Initiative in healthcare' - says how the projects delivered a £30 million saving by July 2017, with recurring annual savings running at £19 million.

The projects also attracted £122 million in private investment, delivered £6.4 million in export sales and created 285 jobs. More information on this story can be found here: Isansys could save NHS millions.

This news comes just a few weeks after Isansys announced that their wireless patient monitoring platform has been granted a key US patent. The patent covers a key feature of its Lifetouch cardiac sensor. The US patent adds to the suite of already issued European patents for the wireless smart patch device. More info can be seen here: Isansys US Patent.

Isansys are based at Milton Park and are a prime example of how Milton Park can nuture company growth stories. They started life at the Innovation Centre and have since moved into their own premises on the Park. We're looking forward to seeing the continued success stories from this fantastic company.
