Milton Park HR Forum

Published on: 19/02/2014

During 2014, Milton Park will be working with Crossland Employment Solicitors, The Career Boutique and Migrate UK, to host a series of HR Forums.

The forums are open to all HR professionals and managers on Milton Park. The forums are an opportunity for you to discuss topical legal, recruitment and/or immigration issues and to meet others who work on the Park who have similar HR responsibilities to you.

We want to encourage an open discussion about tricky HR issues, as well as the development of a support network for those times when you need to sense-check things or are faced with a complicated issue.

Each Forum will focus on a different but topical issue, which will be introduced and then there will be a chance for questions. We want this to be an informal environment for you to mingle and discuss HR issues with people across the park. Crossland, The Career Boutique and Migrate UK will be happy to answer any private questions afterwards.

The first of these free events will be taking place on March 6th 2014. Below is a plan for the morning:

08.00– 08.30: Coffee and breakfast rolls with a chance to network

08.30 – 08.40: Presentation

08.40 – 09.30: Networking and questions

Topics: the recruitment process, common issues such as hiring those with criminal convictions, and using social media to research candidates before employment.

Location: Innovation Centre, 99 Park Drive, Milton Park, OX14 4RY

You will be invited to share your experiences or questions about employment and recruitment issues with us and the Forum. Please let us know in advance if you have particular issues that you are interested in hearing about.

If you are unable to attend this date you may wish to consider our future HR Forum dates:  15th May 2014 and 6th November 2014. More information will be available soon.

To register for this event please contact Maria Hoeritzauer (maria@crosslandsolicitors.com) or Barry Ross (barry@crosslandsolicitors.com) as soon as possible.
