Work with potent compounds? Free breakfast briefing

If you work with or are responsible for managing safety aspects related to potent compounds, there is a chance to hear about the key health and safety issues thanks to a free breakfast briefing to be held at Milton Park.

‘An Introduction to Pharmaceutical Potent Compound Safety’ will be hosted at the Innovation Centre, 99 Park Drive on Friday 17 April 2015 from 8.30am to 10am by SafeBridge Europe, the premier health and safety consulting firm to the biopharmaceutical industry.

The seminar is aimed at:

  • Operational staff
  • Laboratory staff
  • Safety professionals
  • Engineers
  • Management staff

The briefing will cover:

  • What are potent compounds?
  • Factors leading to exposure and potential health effects
  • How to understand and manage the risks effectively
  • Suitable containment and control approaches
  • Occupational exposure limits and exposure assessment

Mike Perry, Senior Occupational Hygienist, SafeBridge Europe, Limited said: “We have assisted over 600 business units worldwide in the pharmaceutical, biotechnology and fine chemical industries. This informal event at Milton Park presents an opportunity to meet SafeBridge and learn a little about some of the unique challenges that potent compounds present, how a safe working environment can be established through proper understanding of the issues involved, and gain a real understanding of hazard and effective management of risk.
