Job Description
Part of this role will maintain the procurement and logistics databases, support the procurement team with new and ongoing capital projects, assist the end-to-end logistics process, execute operational procurement and logistics according to company procedures and best practice.
The right candidate will have knowledge of procurement of indirect products and materials, applicable standards and regulations within the UK, and an understanding of Inco-terms and logistics methods.
As Procurement and Logistics Co-Ordinator you will assist the Team with tasks (e.g. administration), including but not limited to;
- Processing of orders in our ERP System (NetSuite)
- Administering supplier set-up in our ERP System
- Monitoring stock levels of critical spares and re-ordering
- Supporting operations team in sourcing goods/services
- Receiving goods and services both physically and within ERP system
- Recognising and achieving savings for the business
- Supporting colleagues within the Procurement team as and when required
The ideal candidate
Essential Criteria:
- Minimum of 2 years of recent and relevant industrial experience in procurement
- Experience in order placement and expediting
- Experience in organising logistics
- Experience using MRP/ERP
- Experience in supporting negotiations
- Demonstrated experience in project support
- Can give examples of personal creativity, innovation, and problem solving
- Driven, focused, and impatient for success: experience designing and analysing
Desirable Criteria:
- Ability to work as part of a team and independently, on concurrent work streams; activities are followed through to completion; meets deadlines and ensures people get what they need when they need it
- Displays enthusiasm and creativity in meeting the needs and expectations of internal customers and encourages this behaviour in colleagues
