Exploring Milton Park just got easier

Published on 26 June 2025

Whether you’re having a walking meeting, taking a breather or chasing your step count, our updated walking map makes exploring Milton Park easier.

We are very fortunate in the amount of green space we have in our innovation community. There are 43 acres of open landscaped space representing 20% of the Park, including over 80,000 sq m of grass, over 6,100 sq ft of wildflower areas and over 2,700 trees.

Walking maps are displayed on boards around Milton Park, each with a ‘you are here’ point and what3words location reference.

Promoting biodiversity

Enhancing nature is a top priority for our maintenance team.

There are eight lagoons, six bee hives, 15 bat boxes, bug hotels, bird boxes and nesting islands. Our resident Canadian Geese are very much at home around Milton Park and we look forward to them returning each year to bring up a new brood of goslings.

Milton Park also has 21 urban garden plots where occupiers can grow their own fruit, vegetables and herbs.

Many occupiers have created gardening clubs, giving employees a chance to relax, connect with others and enjoy the benefits of growing their own produce.

Learn about wildlife

Take a moment on your next walk to learn more about the ecosystems that thrive right on our doorstep.

Next to the majority of boards, you will also see biodiversity signs highlighting the incredible range of wildlife, plants and habitats found across our green spaces.

Each board points out what you might see at that particular spot, such as water voles, newts, hedgehogs and butterflies. Some people have been lucky enough to spot a heron, owl, kingfisher and even an otter. Keep your eyes peeled!
