Milton Park’s school engagement programme, ‘Explore’ was set up in 2023 and aims to build long-term connections between the Park, its occupiers and education providers in the surrounding area.
The next flagship event, Biotech Day, is aimed at Year 10-13 students (14 to 18 year-olds), designed to inspire and engage students with the skills, careers and businesses in Biotech available at Milton Park.
Designed to bring together businesses at the forefront of innovation in Biotech to inspire the next generation of talent, Milton Park will play host to students from local partner schools at a critical time in their educational journey before they decide their next steps.
This day-long event includes multiple opportunities to volunteer as an individual or as a business including workshops, workplace tours, career panels and speed networking. Our inaugural Biotech Day took place last November and it was a great success!

About Explore Milton Park schools engagement programme
Run in collaboration with Ahead Partnership, the education programme enables companies to connect with local secondary school students and colleges to showcase the wide variety of Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Mathematics (STEAM) careers available here.
The initiative aims to help students develop their confidence and improve their understanding of career opportunities on offer. Occupiers are able to engage with future talent and help strengthen their workforce pipeline, with a particular focus on supporting young people from disadvantaged or under-represented backgrounds.
To date over 35 companies and over 2,200 students have taken part, in a calendar of inspiring events and activities, including careers panels, speed networking, ‘treks’ to visit different workplaces, interview practice, employer-teacher workshops and work experience.
