Over 20,000 PCR tests carried out as testing ends at Milton Park

Published on 8 April 2022

The Covid-19 Mobile Testing Unit (MTU) at Milton Park has now closed following the UK Government’s latest guidance advice on testing.

The tremendous MTU staff helped to carry out 22,832 tests at Milton Park across the 166 days since February 2021, testing those experiencing coronavirus symptoms in the local area.

The MTU, in operation since February 2021, was managed every Friday, Saturday and Sunday by Serco, Sodexo, Mitie, Levy, G4S, the Welsh Ambulance Service and the Scottish Ambulance Service.

Philip Campbell, Commercial Director, MEPC Milton Park, said: “We want to extend a massive thank you to the NHS and MTU staff for their dedicated service to the local area, making sure we were staying as safe as possible during the pandemic.”

“We’re pleased to have played a small part in offering Milton Park as a testing location over the last year, supporting the incredibly important work carried out by so many people to provide local communities with the access they needed to get tested.”
