Milton Park’s school engagement programme, ‘Explore’ was set up in 2023 and aims to build long-term connections between the Park, its occupiers and education providers in the surrounding area.
The next flagship event, Biotech Day, is aimed at Year 10-13 students (14 to 18 year-olds), allowing them to meet biotech companies based at Milton Park.
Through inspirational speeches, workplace tours, workshops, careers panels and speed networking sessions, young people will gain insights into the myriad of exciting roles available at their local innovation community.

About Explore Milton Park schools engagement programme
Run in collaboration with Ahead Partnership, the education programme enables companies to connect with local secondary school students and colleges to showcase the wide variety of Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Mathematics (STEAM) careers available here.
The initiative aims to help students develop their confidence and improve their understanding of career opportunities on offer. Occupiers are able to engage with future talent and help strengthen their workforce pipeline, with a particular focus on supporting young people from disadvantaged or under-represented backgrounds.
To date over 35 companies and over 2,200 students have taken part, in a calendar of inspiring events and activities, including careers panels, speed networking, ‘treks’ to visit different workplaces, interview practice, employer-teacher workshops and work experience.
