Signal Yard serves up its next course

Back to results

Trio of local eateries are announced at Signal Yard

Milton Park’s vibrant new destination hub, Signal Yard, reveals its latest wave of local flavours ahead of its 2026 launch. With a line-up designed to delight foodies and families alike, the hub is fast becoming one of Oxfordshire’s most anticipated openings.

Well-loved independent eateries

The amenity will be home to three well-loved Oxfordshire independent eateries 1885 Burgers, Chor Muang Thai and Planted Plates. The highly anticipated eateries will bring an exciting range of culinary treats, such as handmade burgers prepared with locally sourced beef, Thai gastro cuisine and hearty homemade vegan food.  Together, the trio showcase the very best of Oxfordshire’s food scene, from comfort food classics to adventurous global flavours, all in one place.

It follows the recent announcement that Damira Dental Studios is opening at Signal Yard in late 2025, offering 6,000 NHS patient places plus private services, ahead of the official 2026 launch.

More than just great food, the three new eateries at Signal Yard will bring distinctive dining experiences in a vibrant setting designed for wellbeing, with green spaces, seamless indoor outdoor connections and a large space for events and community celebrations. The design means visitors can grab a quick bite on the go, linger over dinner with friends, or enjoy community events against the backdrop of landscaped gardens.

1885 Burgers

Harry Hadland, founder of 1885 Burgers, said: “Signal Yard is set to be a vibrant and welcoming destination. We can’t wait to serve our finest burgers, crafted with high-quality, locally sourced ingredients, to families and visitors from Milton Park, Didcot, Abingdon and beyond.”

Chor Muang Thai

In Thai culture, sharing food with family and friends is an integral part of dining etiquette, Chor Muang Thai want to bring this ethos to Signal Yard with their ‘Eat like a Thai’ experience. Chef Viktor Mungmai, the founder and owner of Chor Muang Thai, added: “Opening at Signal Yard is a fantastic opportunity to bring our popular, authentic Thai flavours to more people. Our diverse menu, showcasing both classic and modern dishes from Thailand’s four regions, has already been a huge hit at our existing venues, alongside our ‘Eat like a Thai’ experience.”

Planted Plates

Planted Plates were attracted to the beautiful landscape setting, which provides a perfect location to create delicious, healthy and hearty meals for the everyday person to try vegan dishes. Henna Godfrey, from Planted Plates said: “Signal Yard is the perfect spot to share our wholesome, flavoursome vegan dishes with even more people, bringing the best of plant-based cuisine to the local community”

Signal Yard has been designed as an inclusive, accessible destination for Milton Park and the whole community. The development also features secure bicycle storage, showers, EV charging bays, dedicated parking and excellent public transport links, ensuring ease of access for all visitors. Evening openings and weekend events will turn Signal Yard into more than an amenity hub, it will be a go to destination for leisure, lifestyle and connection across South Oxfordshire.

Vibrant hub in beautiful landscaped surroundings

Interest from retailers has been strong, with 13 of the units already let or under offer to a mix of well-known names and independent local businesses.

Clare Fleet, commercial surveyor at Milton Park, said: “Supporting local businesses has been a key focus for Signal Yard. We want to give businesses the opportunity to grow within a ready-made community of engaged Milton Park occupiers and local residents.

“By curating a mix of innovative and well-loved Oxfordshire businesses, we are creating a vibrant hub where local entrepreneurs can thrive while offering the wider community exciting dining, fitness and lifestyle experiences in beautifully landscaped surroundings.”

Signal Yard is on track to officially launch in 2026, with the base build due for completion by the end of this year.  As the countdown begins, anticipation is building for a landmark space that blends work, play and community in one unique setting.

Units are still available for lease at Commercial Property Signal Yard.
